I owe my life to so many names on this wall that stood by and watched out for my
father so he could return home. But they are not just names on a cold wall; each one represents a life of a Red, White
and Blue blooded American Hero who gave the ultimate gift to fight for Freedom and each other. Fathers and Sons, Mothers
and Daughters, Friends and Family. On this wall there are no politics,
no religion, no race that separate any of them, just men and women together side by side, forever. So every name is spoken
out loud, every life will be remembered long after their comrades have passed and the stories begin to fade from our memories.
But for future Generations the Vietnam Wall must be a reminder, that each name is a person, standing up to say “I was
Here, I was called and I honored my country with my life, please remember me.”
So with a grateful heart I stand here and say, Thank you, Thank you to the one that now have no voice and Thank you
to the ones who served with you, & that are here today! Welcome home.
